No matter how big or complex your technical writing project is, we’re here to help.
Great Technical Content
Watership exists to help businesses add tangible value to the world through great technical content.
Our process begins by examining audience and purpose. Every technical document starts by understanding:
- the business purpose
- who the audience is
- what information the audience needs
- how the audience will use that information
- what format that information should be served
It's Never Just Business
Whatever type of technical content you create, its effectiveness is measured by how well it informs and engages people.
We think about where your audience is now, where they want to be, and how your business can bridge the gap between the two. We think about the practical problems people are experiencing and how your content can help lead them to solutions.
If you want your content to matter, if you want it to engage, it needs to inform or it needs to solve problems.
We believe good writing is good thinking. And good business.
Technical writing isn't just informative writing.
We’re not writing for computers. (At least not yet.) While technical writing is primarily informational writing, persuasion and entertainment have their places.
Part of the reason we analyze your audience is to assess their receptiveness to the content and their trust levels. Some audiences need a bit of gamification to stay interested. Others need social proof or trust factors to accept your messaging the way you’d like.
We work to identify what your audience needs to know and how to best deliver your information to them.
